The East Kern Health Care District is governed by a Board of Directors. Our Directors have a broad and varied background, including community and social service, medical care, private business, government and law.

 

The East Kern Health Care District was established in 1977 to serve the East Kern communities.  The District provides property management for four medical facilities in California City.  The District continues to explore expansion of medical services to meet the medical needs of the East Kern communities. 

 

The East Kern Health Care District (originally formed as the East Kern Hospital District) was established under the Local Hospital District Law (passed by the California Legislature in 1945, codified under the California Health and Safety Code, Division 23, Section 32000 et seq.), through the Kern County Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) process and a local voter ballot measure approved in November 1976.
